Pool Night

I haven't play billiards in a while, and the last time I did, I don't remember being very good at it, although I am actually a fine player, (maybe it was the all the alcohol I had consumed) and on Sunday my uncle suggested to my cousin (Elizabeth) and I that we should go play. It appeared a swell idea, and I suggested that we go get my other cousin (coincidentally also called Alex (as me)), and when we got there my aunt joined in. The place we were going to was closed and it looked that the building wasn't even there anymore, so we did the logical thing and searched for another on Google, and that's how we ended up in an underground Mall, which had a gigantic bowling alley, which had a billiards zone, which was totally alone, so we had the place to ourselves.

It was a simple activity that gave us a lot of fun, and we all really enjoyed it, (even though I won). And that's something that really gets me sometimes, the fact that the simpler things in life end up becoming some of the best moments you live if you do experience them with the right people. It's like when you're a kid and a water hose becomes the best thing you can play with in the summer, or going to the beach, or staying up late talking on the phone, sitting on a couch watching a scary movie, or just laying down with that special someone thinking of the most senseless and ridiculous things (which are sometimes the best).

Sometimes, we get so caught up with all the things that we are supposed to do, our responsibilities, our jobs, our school, our goals, and our dreams. We get so focused on a single thing that everything else starts to fade in the back, and we neglect them without noticing, and we regret that ignorance when we do... so like Ferris Bueller said, "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."
