I came to notice a while ago, that it's the little things of the day-to-day that excite me the most at times. Going to the movies, getting coffee with my friends, listening to my records. I'm thrilled about my career and adventures, yes, but these small moments are, to me, equally enticing. The moment of absolute creation for me is when I'm just developing the idea of something; be it a film, a story, a poem, or a photoshoot. It can be anything, it can be everything, and it's exciting.
I feel the world moving around me in overdrive. The past is getting further and further away from me, with the future becoming threatening all of a sudden. I want this moment to be still, and for everything to be quiet for a bit. Just a minute or two to breathe, to recompose myself, and become me once more.
It is in these precious pauses that I find clarity and inspiration. These are the moments when the noise of life subsides and the essence of my true self emerges, ready to embrace the world with renewed vigour and creativity. In the stillness, I rediscover my passion and purpose, reminding myself that these small, seemingly insignificant moments are the threads that weave the fabric of my extraordinary journey.

It's strange, but this new responsibility I have coordinating the Film and Fashion area of Innovamoda feels like a blend of my career as a filmmaker, my path in the fashion industry in Mexico, and my experience as a teacher. However, I emphasize the aspect of responsibility, for which I am very grateful to have been entrusted by Vanesa Bañuelos. I am confident that this project will be incredible and that we will be able to highlight the talent of great filmmakers and designers.
When we started planning this editorial, each member of the Innovamoda team was instructed to choose elements that represented us and our roles. It would have been easy to simply select film-related items to represent that side of me. However, I felt that would have been somewhat limiting. So, I decided to pick items that I carry with me every day, which in their own way represent parts of my personality. My Lo Esencial briefcase that carries all my filming equipment (yes, it all fits). My Porfirio Leather jacket that I often wear when teaching or filming. My Miles and Louie boots that I wear almost daily, and a book—in this case, Hemingway's first novel—a physical representation of the romanticism I feel for so many things.
