Painting Outside the Lines.
Tuesday, June 06, 2023I felt like floating and also like a painting from the Romanticist era. There was a certain ethereal quality to my experience, as if I had stepped into a world where emotions were more vivid and the beauty of life was accentuated. I used to have a rigid notion of aesthetic and visual style for my content, always adhering to a specific look and feel. It was consistent and recognizable, but after a while, I found myself growing bored with how unchanging it felt.
The predictability of my work started to stifle my creativity. I realized I needed to break free from the confines of my self-imposed style and explore new horizons. So, I challenged myself to try out new ideas and concepts, to venture into the unknown and see where my creativity could take me.
Just for fun really, because if it's not fun, what's the point? This newfound approach breathed fresh life into my work. I began experimenting with different color palettes, unusual compositions, and unexpected themes. Each project became an exciting journey of discovery, a chance to play and create without the pressure of perfection.
This shift in mindset allowed me to embrace the imperfections and the unexpected moments that make art truly unique. I found joy in the process of creating, rather than just the end result.
Floating through this creative renaissance, I felt a renewed sense of passion and purpose. I allow myself the freedom to explore, to experiment, and to have fun with my art.
